Los Angeles (E! Online) - Isabel Lucas may have earned herself a slave for life on the Transformers 2 set.
Sources tell E! News that it was Shia LaBeoufs Australian costar who was riding in the actors truck when he had his early morning DUI crash on Sunday.
Authorities said yesterday that neither LaBeoufs then-unidentified female passenger nor the driver of the car he hit was seriously hurt. All three involved were taken to the hospital, where the women were treated for minor injuries and later released.
Lucas, 23, who lately has been spotted on the arm of Entourage star Adrian Grenier, was already back on the set of the Michael Bay-directed Transformers 2 today, a rep for Paramount Pictures told E! News.
A rep for Lucas couldnt immediately be reached for comment.
LaBeouf, 22, underwent surgery Sunday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for extensive injuries to his left hand. Hes expected to be out of commission for about a month, after which hell continue shooting, according to his rep.
The Disturbia star, who police determined to be intoxicated at the scene, was also arrested and booked at the hospital for driving under the influence--a misdemeanor--and given an August court date.
A production source said that LaBeoufs looming absence from the Transformers 2 set will not be a problem--theres plenty of stuff to shoot that doesnt involve either LaBeouf or living, breathing humans in general--and that it shouldnt effect the films slated June 26, 2009, release date.
Hes 22, he could bounce back in no time, the source added.
Shayna LaBeouf, the actors mom, told E! News Monday that her son was doing fine and thanked the public for its outpouring of concern for his welfare.
