The thriller was one of three nominated works in the drama category. All three titles emerged in the 2007 International Mystery Writers Festival in Owensboro, KY. The nominees included If/Then by David Foley and Books by Stuart M. Kaminsky.
"Panic takes place in 1960s Paris as a film director becomes friends with a French film critic who wants to be a director," according to the announcement. "Their futures are in jeopardy when a past relationship brings blackmail and leads to a murder."
Goodrich is a writer and actor from Minnesota. His plays have been produced in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Orleans, Minneapolis/Saint Paul, and Portland, ME. He has plays included in "The Backstage Book of New Short American Plays" and in "Padua: Plays from the Padua Hills Playwrights Festival." His poetry has appeared in the Venice West Review, his fiction in Bullet magazine, and he is a contributor to "Conducting A Life: Reflections On The Theatre Of Maria Irene Fornes."

The 2008 International Mystery Writers Festival (not related to the group that runs the Edgars) is scheduled for June 12-22, when another crop of thrillers and mysteries for the stage will emerge.
