Michael Lohan blabbed that he's planning a defamation suit against a woman who claims he's the father of her 13 year-old girl daughter. He said that if he's not the father he'll sue her for libel and defamation. He initially said he was the girls father, admitting that he was separated from his wife Dina and had a relationship with her mother around the time the girl was conceived. Then he changed his tune, questioning the mother's motives and saying he would make her pay if he wasn't the father.
Since that lawsuit isn't likely to pan out for him he has another strategy - he's trying to sell the results of his paternity test to a major tabloid media outlet. If it turns out he's not the father, it will cost them $10,000. If he's the father, he wants $20,000 and and on top of that he's going to sell the exclusive rights to the photos of his first meeting with the girl. It sounds to me like he already knows how those DNA results are going to turn out.
This is in direct contrast to Michael Lohan's earlier statements to the NY Post that he had "nothing to say" to the mother of the girl and didn't want her to meet his other daughters. He's going to have to say something to the mom if he wants to set up the money shots of his first touching meeting with his long lost daughter:
He says, “Even if the test is positive, I have nothing to say to her [the girls' mother] because of the way she handled this. How can someone say I have another child when no testing has been done? Why did she wait so long? Is it because she wants money? Or is it because she wants to claim that Ashley is my children’s sister? She said she wants her daughter to have a relationship with my kids - especially Lindsay and Ali - and that’s pretty sick. I will never force my children to meet with Ashley.”

The woman says that Michael must be the father because she was having an affair with him around the time the girl was conceived and paternity tests have ruled out her ex husband. Many of you have pointed out that the girl looks a hell of a lot like him and shares the same eye shape and smile.
As JayBird explained in our earlier story on this, the girl is only going to suffer even if her mom is doing this to somehow further the young teen's career. She's already saddled with Michael Lohan as a dad, and he's going to use her for a photo op and then ditch all responsibility. He sure was nice enough to this woman and her daughter when they wrote him letters while he was in jail. Maybe he needs the money and figures it's worth it to contest paternity if he can make a few bucks out of it. What does it matter if he's breaking a 13 year-old girl's heart?

Michael Lohan is shown at the NY Rescue Mission on 11/19/07. He's supposed to work as a counselor at a Christian Drug rehab for teens and to have found God in prison. Doesn't it seem hypocritical that he's bad mouthing this woman and her daughter on one hand and trying to profit from the relationship on the other?
