Jamie Lynn Spears afraid of childbirth
A lot of celebrities have admitted they’re terrified of childbirth. And really, who could blame them? You’re pushing a person out of you. As scary as that must be for an adult who got pregnant intentionally, imagine if you’re a 17-year-old… with the IQ of a Spears? Okay to be fair, Jamie Lynn Spears seems reasonably intelligent. So far she’s done nothing that makes you think she could accidentally drop her kid into the pool like big sister Britney. But giving birth is a big ordeal at any age, and according to Star, Jamie Lynn is understandably scared.
Mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears is terrified of giving birth, and her mom, Lynne, isn't making things any easier.
A source tells Star that when the Spears family matriarch showed her seven-months-pregnant 17-year-old daughter a video of a real natural childbirth, Jamie Lynn threw up!
"Lynne was trying to be helpful," a source tells Star. "She wanted to show Jamie Lynn what a woman goes through giving birth, that it's a natural and beautiful thing, but all Jamie Lynn saw was the blood — or 'goop,' as she called it — the screaming and the pain. It was too graphic for her. She flipped out and literally got sick."
Now Jamie Lynn is totally freaked out. "She is wondering if a C-section is possible," the source adds. "She wants to be knocked out and then wake up when it's all over."
[From Star]
That is a LOT for a 17-year-old to handle. On the one hand, she needs to see that video so she has an idea of what to expect. On the other… that’s some frightening stuff. More so because it’s going to happen to Jamie Lynn no matter what. So as scary as it is, it’s totally unavoidable at this point. And it’s good to have an idea of what really goes on, versus the sanitized version we see on television. Every woman has the right to decided for herself how she wants to deliver. Hopefully Jamie Lynn can come up with something that seems manageable… and less cringe-worthy.
