LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Fox is shifting its fall premiere plans.
The network is going one week later than previously announced, launching its shows with a two-hour "Prison Break" on September 1 instead of August 25 as planned.
The networks series lineup is unchanged.
With NBCs presentation of the Summer Olympics concluding on August 24, networks had toyed with the idea of launching early to take advantage of presumably higher audience viewing levels. Fox announced recently that it would roll out in late August, just as it has done the past couple years.
With competitors announcing that most of their shows will debut in late September, Fox has now shifted its plans and declined to comment further.
