Alias Dad Passes the Buck on Jen & Ben Pregnancy (E! Online)

Los Angeles (E! Online) - As Angelina knows all too well, those costars can be real bean-spillers sometimes. But Victor Garber isnt one of them.

The actor who played Jennifer Garners dad on Alias tells E! News that his words were taken out of context when UsMagazine.com quoted him responding, Yes, she is, to the question of whether Garner was expecting child No. 2 with hubby Ben Affleck.

I havent confirmed that at all, no, Garber said tonight at an ABC event. I know they want to have another child and hopefully thats true, but I dont know that.

No, I know that they are hoping to be, the Eli Stone star added. I just dont know that its for sure. Its a very...personal thing.

None of which means, however, that Garner isnt pregnant.

Tabloids started bulging earlier this month with reports that the 36-year-old Juno star, whos been sporting more loose-fitting tops than usual, is with child. The National Enquirer quoted a source last week saying, A few days before the Fourth of July, Jen began calling close pals with the news that she was pregnant again.

Then again, Affleck may have already confirmed the good news in May, but what happened in Britain stayed in Britain.

Talking to the UKs Times newspaper about whether he would like to someday direct his wife in a film, he said that hed love to if she would work with me, but she might just want to work with a real director.

And were going to have another baby soon, now that weve figured out how to do it. We want lots of kids.

Then there was Wednesdays Ben & Jen sighting at a Los Angeles obstetricians office, as noted by E! Online Senior Editor Marc Malkin.

Affleck and Garner tied the knot on June 29, 2005. Daughter Violet was born Dec. 1 later that year.
