Daniel Kutner will direct the new production. The Off-Broadway show, originally titled And the World Goes Round, has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and was conceived by Scott Ellis, Susan Stroman and David Thompson. It has since become a popular title in stock, amateur and regional theatre.
Prince choreography is by Wendy Seyb, music direction is by Collin Maier, with music supervision by Stan Tucker.
The World Goes Round at the Prince is billed as "newly imagined and expanded," with each song "re-invented in a highly personal way." Additional songs from recent K&E shows, including The Visit, will be included. The score includes "All That Jazz," "New York, New York," "Cabaret," "Maybe This Time," "Mr. Cellophane" and many more.
Tony Award winners Kander and Ebb wrote songs for the Broadway musicals Cabaret, Chicago, Zorba, The Happy Time, The Act, Woman of the Year, The Rink, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Steel Pier, Curtains and 70, Girls, 70.
